(Born January 7th, 1963) is a French fashion designer whose high-end stiletto footwear incorporates shiny, red-lacquered soles that have become his signature.
He first started dreaming up fantastical footwear in his early teens.
He was expelled from school at age 16 and then started working for famed shoe designer Charles Jourdan for two years.
In the early 1990s, with funds from two backers, he opened a Paris shoe salon in 1991 with as his first customer... adding his legendary red soles in 1993.
